My first time caroling, doing my part to bring joy to the patients at the wards. We sang for the staff during the party too, though there were a few embarassing moments. Had gift exchange and we celebrated Chanel's birthday for her after that. After the event, I went back to serve dinner. I am incapable of putting the whole episode into words. But I guess both of us felt very frustrated then. In the end I couldn't take it so I sat down, held her hands, and told her how I felt.
To my surprise, she held me back, and teared with me. Told me that how she appreciate what I have done, and that she wasn't upset with me. At that moment, I felt a connection. I did make her smile in the end and I left her bedside smiling and feeling all warmed up too. This, is nursing.
